What is Cat5eCategory 5e cable (Cat 5) is a twisted pair of cables for carrying signals. This type of cable is used in structured cabling for computer networks such as Ethernet. It is also used to carry other signals such as telephone and video. The cable is commonly connected using punch down blocks and modular connectors. Most Category 5 cables are unshielded, relying on the twisted pair design and differential signalling for noise rejection.

At present it is not in high demand due to the additional high cost and the decrease in distance it can cover compared to Cat5e. EasyPC can install premium Cat6 cable as necessary or on customer demand.
