WD Hard Drive Shortage Due To Thailand Floods

News is spreading out from Thailand today that one of WD (Western Digital) production plants is under water due to the latest floods in Thailand. WD apparently makes 33% of the worlds hard drives (With Seagate being the other largest also having some issues with Flooding), delivering to a wide range of markets from Desktop PC’s to games consoles. Rumours are floating (no pun intended) about that their now may be a shortage over December and technology insiders are predicting a rise of up-to 200% in prices and it may take month for supply levels to return to normal.
